#116 - Laura Nyro - Eli & The Thirteenth Confession

Musically this is not an uninteresting album, it sounds very modern, a woman on the piano with a style between jazz and pop, but what bothered me was Nyro's voice. It's rather thin and drills its way into my ears. After 13 songs I was glad it's over. So this was a mixed experience, a modern sounding album with interesting tempo changes that could as well have been from 1995, but with an unpleasant voice that made it difficult for me to enjoy the music.
