There's good weird and bad weird. This album is definitely good weird. It's hard to explain genre or instrumentation, it's varies from song to song. It's a non-english act and they sing mostly in brazilian or french, though a little english is there. The songs are pop songs with wild different instrumentations and arrangements. Ideas flow around, you can really feel the creativity. "A minha menina" and "Baby" have the catchiest melodies, but the whole album is a great and interesting listen.
