This album stands and falls with the voice of Janis Joplin. There are two great covers, "Summertime" by the Gershwins and "Piece of my heart", the other songs are not outstanding, but the voice surely is! She sounds like she should lay down and do something about that cold. Scratchy, rough and full of power. Great voice, not-so-great album.
