Elvis Presley is kind of a league of his own, it's hard to listen to this album unbiased by his incredible fame and the remembrance of all of his hits.
This is his first albums, but I already hear the voice that will go around the world. The songs themselves fall back a little to his voice, which is very captivating, deep and full and with a fascinating vibrato, but in some songs ("I love you because", "I'll never let you go") it's rather high and soft, a side of him unkown to the mainstream music listener and these songs are not that easy to recognize as Elvis. Most of the songs seem to follow standard rock'n'roll patterns and are rather simple in their arrangements. Elvis's voice is what makes this album special.
