I was a little surprised by this album. The voice of Ray Charles sounds very rough and like an uptempo rock'n'roll voice, but the album consists mainly of what I'd call ballads in a style mixed of blues, jazz and soul with a big band backing. It's not a bad album but the slow love songs don't really fit his voice. Also I expected them to be much piano heavier. The album stirred no emotion in me.
