#30 - Bill Evans - Sunday At The Village Vanguard

Another jazz album, this time a very smooth one. A pleasing sparse instrumentation, only drums, bass and piano, and a nicely flowing music. The album contains some pieces twice, in several takes, and I didn't realize it as in I heard something repetitive. That's probably the point of the whole jazz thing. What you hear isn't a repitition of a song played and practised for a long time, it's a spontaneous improvisation based on just a rough outline of a jazz standard. While I still don't like jazz, because I need the repetitive melody hooks, I do have the utmost respect for the musicians and their abilities.
