#31 - Ray Charles - Modern Sounds In Country And Western Music

Another Ray Charles album, but a better one than the first, I have to say. The style is not much different from last time, but now it all seems to fit. His voice is not that rough anymore, the songs are a little poppier, and the accompaniment with the strings and the choir fit perfectly to the songs. The title is a little misleading, because the album doesn't sound like country at all. It's rather like a remix album, the songs on it are classic country songs presented in a different style, the best-known being "Bye bye love", made famous by the Everly Brothers.
