#3 - The Louvin Brothers - Tragic Songs Of Life

An old-school country album I would say. It instantly captured my interested with the flawless harmony singing of the two brothers. There is hardly a line that is sung by only one of them. The voices, especially the higher one, sounds a little bit nasal though and got a tiny bit annoying over time. The songs are very similar in arrangement and vary mainly in speed, which makes the album rather monotonous, but not necessarily in a bad way, each song by itself is very nice. They don't sound very tragic even though the album title promises differently. "In the pines" reminded me of "Where did you sleep last night" famous by Nirvana - whoops, make that it IS "Where did you sleep last night", wikipedia just told me.
